Association Rules
adopted unanimously by the Annual General Meeting on Friday 28th February 2003
Officers
Rule 9

a) Officers of the Association shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall comprise: President, Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and Programme Secretary. All officers shall retire annually but be eligible for re-election.

b) In recognition of distinguished service to the Association, Vice-Presidents of the Association may be elected at the Annual General Meeting under the same procedure as laid down in Rule 9c. There shall not be more than six Vice Presidents at any time. Vice Presidents will be entitled to attend Committee meetings but will not be entitled to a vote.

c) Names of candidates proposed for election to any office (other than retiring officers) together with the names of the proposer and seconder and confirmation of the candidate's willingness to serve, shall be passed, in writing, to the Honorary Secretary, 21 days before the date of the Annual General Meeting.

d) A vacancy occurring, as a result of resignation or the absence of a formal nomination and election of a candidate to fill the post of a retiring officer at an Annual General Meeting, may be filled at any time by co-option by the Committee.
