Motor Sailers

The motor sailers we have chosen for the Good Yacht Guide are either those specifically described by the builders as motor sailers or those having an enclosed wheelhouse or a wheel shelter and/or alternative steering positions in a raised deck saloon.

The majority of motor sailers have long keels or at least long fins; some have the option of additional bilge-plates to allow the vessel to dry out upright on a firm surface. Most have fairly shoal draft and will sit comfortably on a mud berth.
