Officers

Rule 8

a) Officers of the Association shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall comprise:

President
Chairman
Honorary Secretary
Honorary Treasurer
Honorary Magazine Editor
Honorary Social Secretary

All officers shall retire annually but be eligible for re-election.

b) Life Vice Presidents. Not more than six. To be elected in recognition of their exceptional service to the Association. Life Vice Presidents will be entitled to attend Committee meetings but will not be entitled to a vote. To be elected under the same procedure as laid down in Rule 8c.

c) Names of candidates proposed for election to any office (other than retiring officers) together with the names of the proposer and seconder and confirmation of the candidate's willingness to serve, shall be passed, in writing, to the Honorary Secretary, 21 days before the date of the AGM.

d) A vacancy occurring as a result of resignation or the absence of a formal nomination and election of a candidate to fill the post of a retiring officer at an AGM, may be filled at any time by co-option by the Committee.
